Jerome Byers is a career financial services senior executive turned entrepreneur. As a small business owner, he was founder of Coronado Bay Capital, a national capital markets business specializing in middle market financing. Jerome has provided consulting services to numerous small and mid-size businesses around raising and deploying capital.

Professional and Industry Experience

Byers was previously a career banking executive with over two decades of general banking experience. He is the former President for Citibank’s 500 branch West Region as well as the former U.S. Head of Small Business and Merchant Services. While at Citi he developed the Citi Small Business “Pulse” survey, a national survey that reports on the business environment for small businesses including their hiring practices, growth expectations, and community involvement.

Prior to joining Citi, Jerome was the Regional President of Wells Fargo, Atlanta overseeing 200 banking locations and 5,000 team members. During his time with Wells, he held numerous positions in the commercial and consumer bank including leading retail banking in Virginia, MD, District of Columbia, Georgia and North Florida. Byers played a major role in the largest bank merger in U.S. history, successfully leading the Atlanta area through Wachovia’s transition to Wells Fargo. For his leadership during this process, Byers was honored as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans of 2011 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
