Indelible names Jamal Allen Sowell as President of Business Solutions

ORLANDO, Fla. – Indelible, one of the nation’s fastest-growing management consulting firms today announced that former Florida Secretary of Commerce, Jamal Allen Sowell has been appointed President of its Business Solutions practice. In this role, Sowell will oversee the company’s tax and audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic development consultancy portfolio. With a career that spans nearly two decades, Sowell stands ready to expand Indelible’ s current position as an industry leader in emergency management, health and human services, technology, and private sector business operations.

Sowell, a Marine Corps veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan, and officer in the United States Navy Reserve was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis as Secretary of Commerce, and chief executive officer (CEO) of Enterprise Florida, the state’s principal economic development organization. Before his appointment, he served as chief of staff for the Port of Tampa Bay. He also served as the special assistant to former University of Florida (UF) President Bernie Machen, assistant corporate secretary for the university, member of the UF Board of Trustees and was the UF Student Body President. He is also a current member of the UF Alumni Association Board of Directors. Sowell, a Pat Tillman Scholar, assisted the Governor through the national recession and Florida’s remarkable economic recovery. During his tenure as Secretary of Commerce, he was such an effective advocate for the Governor’s pro-business policies that the DeSantis administration described Sowell as “indispensable” in making Florida “the beacon of opportunity and prosperity for the entire country.”
