Torey Alston Named President of Transportation and Infrastructure for Indelible

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Indelible, one of the nation’s fastest-growing management consulting firms, announced Torey Alston as its President of Transportation and Infrastructure. In this role, Alston will provide strategic direction for the firm and its public and private sector partners in the transportation industry, and identify areas to enhance awareness and visibility of Indelible’s network of initiatives and programs.

Alston previously served as the Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) where he managed the day-to-day operations of a $10.3 billion agency spanning central office, seven districts and the Florida Turnpike Enterprise coordinating all matters of policy, administration and engaging the executive branch, legislative branch and other agencies. Alston also oversaw a $1.2 billion investment in veteran, minority-women- and historically disadvantaged businesses, the largest investment working under the leadership of the Governor and FDOT’s Secretary. Alston brings experience working with state and local transportation partners including expressway agencies, seaports, airports, and municipal transportation and public works agencies.

Alston has 15 years of experience in the public sector generating results benefiting the community, including minority populations. He was instrumental in executing a $1.2 billion general obligation bond for Miami-Dade County Public Schools while serving as its economic equity and diversity compliance officer and leading contractor prequalification, for the nation’s 4th largest school district. As the City of Gainesville’s equal opportunity director and ADA coordinator, he developed and implemented an ADA self-evaluation process for all facilities.
